Snow Cover: 6-8 inches
Date of Report: December 28, 2016
Area Report:
Hello Sledders!
The Seeley Hill trails are open and groomers have been out on trails 8, 31, 63 and 77. Trails do have a good base, especially with this frozen rain but are very slippery and we did have lots of wind so if riding please be cautious of down branches. Just a few inches of snow would be great for lubrication.
Spider Lake and most of the Chippewa Flowage lake trails are marked. As always, for your safety please stay on the marked trails.
The Southern part of Sawyer County — the Tuscobia and Flambeau trails are open. *Note the reroute 36 from Flambeau to Price County is the old trail along Highway W, trails 25 and 36 have been packed. Trail 5/27 from Tuscobia south to Rusk Co. line is closed and trail 6 from Tuscobia by Ojibwa north to the Chippewa Flowage is closed as well.
Again, we need just a couple inches of snow to cover the hard base that we have… and with that trail conditions will be good for riding. We will update with any changes. Stay safe and have fun!
